Seal of the Temple

The seven-tiered white umbrella implies that the temple was named by a monarch. Lord Indra carries a thunderbolt and is mounted on the Airavata or Erawan – a 33-headed elephant that carries Lord Indra and his 32 fellow travelers who are also deities.
Airavata is a deity who transforms himself into an elephant to carry Indra and his companions when they wish to proceed from their homes to the celestial garden. The elephant is thus blessed with miraculous might.
On 31 July 2001, The Fine Arts Department had the seal of Devarajkunchon emblazoned with the design of Indra mounting the Airavata.
